A Washington man unintentionally burned his trailer dwelling to the bottom early Sunday after he tried to drive out a household of raccoons residing underneath his home whereas on medication, authorities stated.

Benton County deputies responded and located the trailer engulfed in flames, the sheriff’s workplace stated.

The 38-year-old male “had been utilizing narcotics” when he grew pissed off with the raccoons residing underneath the house, deputies stated. Whereas attempting to succeed in the nuisance animals, the person knocked over a candle and set his dwelling ablaze.

Firefighters arrived and put out the fireplace. Nobody else was dwelling on the time and nobody was injured, deputies stated. Authorities contacted the house owners of the property.

The sheriff’s workplace stated the incident will likely be forwarded for assessment and warned residents to “please watch out when having candles inside your residence.”
