An off-duty Los Angeles police officer was hospitalized after being shot Wednesday afternoon.

Fox Information is working to substantiate the cop’s situation. 

Bullets began flying at about 2 this afternoon on Vesper Avenue within the Van Nuys neighborhood, police mentioned. Officers responded to the scene for a report of an assault with a lethal weapon and pictures fired.

The Los Angeles Police Protecting League, the union for LAPD union, tweeted that its members had been “praying for the complete restoration of our officer who was shot at the moment.”

The suspected shooter is in custody and can be at an space hospital. 

The Los Angeles Hearth Division mentioned it transported two sufferers from the scene of a taking pictures, however didn’t specify whether or not they had each been shot.
