Two armed males seen working from the scene have been arrested, the division stated. Murder investigators have been figuring out if the lads have been the shooters.

“Tonight a joyous event at our Lake Merritt was marred by a mindless act of gun violence,” Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf stated in an announcement, in response to the East Bay Instances. “Police within the space tended to victims, and apprehended two individuals with firearms close to the scene. The investigation is ongoing and can decide if they’re related to the taking pictures. Our ideas are with the household and mates of the victims, and I wish to thank our officers for a fast response.”
