The teenager’s father referred to as the Flagler County Sheriff’s Workplace at 6 a.m. to report that his daughter was threatening to harm herself earlier than leaving their Palm Coast house, the sheriff’s workplace stated. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly praised the mixed efforts of all businesses concerned as “excellent.”
“The fast response and mixed efforts of FCSO deputies, Disaster Negotiations, Communications Middle, Hearth Rescue, and the deputies holding the juvenile’s hand saved a life at this time,” Staly stated in a written assertion. “Their coaching in de-escalation strategies and having the ability to discuss to somebody who’s threatening to take their life is outstanding.
“I commend all of the women and men who stepped up for this baby’s life at this time,” the sheriff continued. “Somebody’s daughter was saved on Father’s Day, and I hope she receives the assistance she wants.”
The woman was positioned beneath a Baker Act and transported to Halifax Medical Middle for additional analysis.
