Biden administration ties $3B in group grants to ‘fairness’ push

The Biden administration introduced $3 billion in group grants as a part of the American Rescue Plan, saying anybody who applies for a grant should reveal that “fairness” is a part of the proposal.

Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo on Thursday stated fairness is “good for employees, good for enterprise and good for the economic system,” and that she believes the funding is the biggest ever financial improvement initiative from the company.

Raimondo informed reporters Thursday that hundreds of thousands of Individuals proceed to wrestle amid the financial results of the coronavirus pandemic, including that the consequences have been “uneven.”

“We’re deeply dedicated for this to be clear,” she defined, noting that the Commerce Division is already putting in “accountability measures.” 

“We’re going to observe each penny to verify it’s doing what it’s speculated to do,” Raimondo stated, citing her expertise as governor of Rhode Island. 

Raimondo harassed that “each group will obtain one thing.”

The initiative will give $1 billion in funding for the “Construct Again Higher Regional Problem;” $500 million for the “Good Jobs Problem;” $500 million for the “Financial Adjustment Assistant Problem;” $100 million for the “Indigenous Communities Problem;” $750 million to journey, tourism and outside recreation grants; and $90 million in grants for statewide planning, analysis and networks. 

“Because the president typically says, and everyone knows, we’re on the street to restoration,” Raimondo stated. “And right this moment, with this announcement, we mark an actual step ahead in that restoration.”
