A person charged with a child-related intercourse crime was apprehended by a U.S. Customs and Border Safety agent on Tuesday whereas he was making an attempt to enter the U.S

Lorenzo Gomez Guerra, 39, is a lawful everlasting resident from San Juan, Texas, in line with CBP

On the time of his arrest, he was coming from Mexico, crossing the Anzalduas Worldwide Bridge, which is close to the southern tip of Texas. 

An officer with CBP’s Workplace of Subject Operations secured Gomez after discovering he had an arrest warrant out for him on felony state fees of indecency with a toddler.

As soon as in custody, CBP officers confirmed Guerra’s identification and matched his identification with the arrest warrant from San Juan Police Division 

A McAllen police officer and U.S. Marshal deputy arrived on the scene, took custody of Guerra, and transferred him to a county jail. 

“CBP Subject Operations is all the time prepared to help our regulation enforcement companions in finding these needed individuals with excellent warrants, particularly these allegedly concerned in heinous crimes of a sexual nature with kids,” stated Carlos Rodriguez, port director on the Port of Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas.
